ARTIST NOTES: Though this painting is a labour of love, like hand-embroidering an heirloom quilt, it is quite instinctive, dictating its own path. It's a quiet painting, but the force and flow and the movement, make it meditative while dynamic. The colour is lightest Australian ghost Gum on a black backround. Acrylic on canvas

ARTIST BIO

After an inauspicious start which saw her volley a hacky sack through a 4 x 2 metre Belgian linen canvas, Helen committed to her passion for painting and hasn't looked back. Though constantly finding inspiration in history, nature, music, film, literature and of course visual art, her illustrative voice is meditative while intricate, mellow while tangled. The paintings therefore are ever-changing, depending on  time, light and mood.
