ARTIST NOTES: This artwork sees the merging of chaos and control. Though it can be seen as a quiet, monochromatic painting, the handling of the paint has created various zones, some thin, runny and translucent, some calm, creamy and opaque, and some so thick that the oil, straight. out of the tube creates sculptural peaks that can cast shadows. Untitled #7 changes entirely on light, time and mood.

ARTIST BIO

After an inauspicious start which saw her volley a hacky sack through a 4 x 2 metre Belgian linen canvas, Helen committed to her passion for painting and hasn't looked back. Though constantly finding inspiration in history, nature, music, film, literature and of course visual art, her illustrative voice is meditative while intricate, mellow while tangled. The paintings therefore are ever-changing, depending on  time, light and mood.
