Lorraine is an artist who draws, paints and prints.  She has travelled extensively and lived and worked in London, Chicago and Fiji. Travelling, and the study of the art and culture of many countries has been very influencial on her artwork and life.  Observing the world by studying people, animals, and the huge diversity of the nature of things has influenced her thinking about what lies beneath the face presented to the world.  Her ability to capture the moment when defences are down, with colour, texture, and acurately recording first impressions, enables the viewer to experience what she has seen, and recorded, with sublety and depth, igniting an emotional connection between the viewer and the artwork.  In order to feel excited and compelled by an image, it must first captivate her;  and by useing beautiful, strong colours and shapes; she hopes the viewer will feel that emotion too.
