ARTIST BIO

South Australian.

Young fashion artist in the late 60's.

Accepted as a Fellow of the Royal South Australian Society of Arts.

Won the inaugural Study Award at the Victor Harbor Rotary Art Show in 1990.

Studied for three months in the USA and London.

Various workshops with Australian artists ensued.

Studied under Leonid Vasin in Adelaide and the Telegraph Station Art Centre with husband, Terry.

Tutored watercolour, and in particular, portrait and figurative work in Queensland, N.S.W. Victoria, Tasmania and Western Australia.

Demonstrated at A.G.R.A., the Victorian Watercolour Society, Camberwell Art Show, Victor Harbor Art Show and other local societies.

She has judged and co-judged several art shows in South Australia, as well as the Australian Guild of Realist Artists in Melbourne where she also exhibited as the second finalist in the Australian Art Excellence Award.

Lorraine has had a continuing interest and fascination with the human spirit and interaction with their surroundings. Her intent is to elevate the portrait into the subject's personal story of life. 

More recently exploring emotive landscape in various mediums as supports to the figurative work.
