Sally Brown was taught by artist Gail Machanik before holding her first exhibition in a library, before life became complicated - constantly moving house didn't help - until in 2014 she decided it was time to stop procrastinating and get back to painting semi-abstract landscapes. Her exhibition in September 2015 in Carlton, 'Palimpsests', saw 10 out of the 11 works selling, with three paintings commissioned. Since then Sally has been working up a body of art for a one-man show hopefully later in 2016, and entering art shows, successfully selling at the Knox and Moonee Valley Art Shows.
