ARTIST BIO

Marion Parker is a contemporary artist in Melbourne on the Mornington Peninsula.

Marion's artwork is represented by galleries in both Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne with private collectors all over the world and particularly in the US.

She holds Art Workshops for those wanting to be more creative.

Her style is unique, abstract or floral landscapes. Recently however she has enjoyed painting abstract/street art style cities of the world. It is vibrant, dynamic and bold, using multiple layers and fast brush-strokes. The cityscapes encapture all the interesting, fun or historic landmarks of a city that she personally has experienced.

She prefers to use oil paints on stretched cotton canvas or linen, but also other forms of mixed media such as graphite, charcoal, acrylic, oil stick, pastel, inks, netting, mosaic tiles and gold leaf, plus many more.

Marion enjoys painting commissions and will co-create a painting with you to reflect your vision.

Her artworks have been featured in Profile Magazine, Gallery Magazine (NGV), Art Edit Magazine and Mornington News.

Recently she was 'Highly Commended' for her work "Apache" at the Box Hill Art Show Victoria.
