I have lived in Australia since 1966, having been born ten years before in Sri Lanka.
I studied art at Melbourne and Monash universities, worked for thirty five years as a high school teacher, and have continued an oil painting practice since I was 19. My wife, two children and three grandchildren are a great support and I have painted four of them. Covid and it's restrictions meant that my artistic focus shifted closer to my own house and it's surrounds, and now it is possible to spread horizons further.
The St Kilda football club has been a source of both excitement and frustration, and tennis has been a lifelong passion, together with cooking and travel. I hope to paint as long as body and mind will allow. |
